Costume Evaluation

Female

We chose a black coat as it not only makes the femme fatale blend in to the crowd but it also makes her seem bad. This is because black is a colour that most villains are shown in.

The fitted black dress gave our femme fatale automatic sex appeal which would make her very popular with men.

The red lipstick makes the audience aware that she is a 'bad seed'. It also gives her more sex appeal and makes her seem seductive.

High heels are a sign of confidence and this is something we definately wanted to make sure our femme fatale had.

Males

(Victim)

We used a common black jacket for the male victim. This is because it would make him blend in with the crowd and it would also leave doubt about him in the audiences mind.

The dark blue jeans were also common, making it clear that he's innocent.

(The follower)

With the hood up, the follower would seem extremely threatening. This straight away makes his character.

By wearing black trousers, the 'follower' would seem mysterious but also like a businessness man, making him blend in, especially in a crowd of people getting off a train

Reflecting minimal understanding of genre because there are no references to research into thriller films. Nevertheless basic understanding in the connotations of aspects of costume. I don't think a pair of jeans connotes innocence - be careful of irrelevant explanations. You could perhaps reference a thriller film where an innocent character wears jeans to support your points.
